According to a conservative estimate, more than 1.2 lakh livestock, including goats, sheep, cows, bullocks and camels, were sold this year, with most of the animals bought by collective sacrificers. Traders say that low weight animals have been sold more this year.

According to the buyers, cattle were very expensive and purchase was not easy due to inflation, hence the collective sacrifice has further increased. Looking at the price of goats, an average goat was sold for 27 to 45 thousand rupees, while the price of healthy goats ranged from 50 thousand to 1 lakh rupees.

This time, a heifer or calf of one to one and a half maunds of meat is 60 to 80 thousand, a heifer of 2 to 3 maunds of meat is 85 thousand to 1 lakh 30 thousand rupees, a heifer or calf of 5 maunds of three and a half maunds of meat is 1 lakh 40 thousand two and a half lakh rupees. Five and a half manna to 6 manna beef cows were sold from 2 lakh 75 thousand rupees to 2 lakh 60 thousand rupees to 5 lakh rupees.

Cows, bulls and goats were also sold by weight, live heifers were sold at Rs 550 per kg while goats were sold at Rs 1100 per kg. On the other hand, the price of a big camel on the Northern Bypass was between 5 to 14 lakh rupees, while the price of a small and light weight camel was 2 to 4.5 lakh rupees.

This time, the fares of the vehicles carrying cows, bulls or goats were also high, the fare for up to 10 kilometers was Rs. Apart from this, more than 2 billion rupees were circulated in other business activities related to the sacrifice.
