Karachi: In Shahr Quaid area of North Karachi, armed persons took 5 people hostage including a watchman and escaped with animals worth more than 7 lakh rupees, while in Azizabad, armed persons snatched away two valuable goats at gunpoint.
According to the details, the robbers stormed the plot near the last stop of Route No. 4 J Bus in North Karachi Sector 2 area of Khawaja Ajmer Nagri and tied 5 other people including Chowkidar Irfan with ropes and 3 oxen there. They fled with him.
The value of the snatched animals is said to be more than 7 lakh rupees. In this regard, Khawaja Ajmer Nagri Police has registered a case of the incident on the complaint of Chowkidar Irfan.
On the other hand, in Azizabad, armed suspects riding in a high roof escaped after snatching two valuable goats from a citizen in front of his house. The CCTV footage of the incident has also come to light.
It should be noted that more than 60 incidents of theft of cattle, cows and goats brought for Eid sacrifice have been reported in different areas of Karachi.
