A woman has been detained by the police for stealing a mobile phone worth Rs 5 crore from a mobile shop in Punjab’s Jhelum.
The police claim that all the stolen mobile phones have been recovered from the possession of the woman while the other 4 members of the gang escaped.
According to District Police Officer (DPO) Nasir Mehmood Bajwa, operations were conducted in Khanewal in search of the gang involved in the theft of mobile phones worth Rs 5 crore.
A house was raided where the alleged associate of the gang was detained, 4 members of the gang escaped.
Police claim that stolen mobile phones worth Rs 5 crore were recovered from the possession of the woman.
On June 20, the said mobile phones were stolen in a theft incident at a mobile shop.
