Pakistan's strong reaction to India-US joint 'declaration'; U.S. officials at the Foreign Office

Islamabad: Pakistan summoned the US Deputy Chief of Mission to the Foreign Office in protest over the ‘specific reference to terrorists’ in the joint declaration by India and the US.

It should be noted that these days Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to the United States and in a joint declaration by the countries, Pakistan has been urged to take action against cross-border terrorists, while Pakistan has dismissed this specific reference as unnecessary and one-sided. And has been declared misleading.

In this regard, a new development has been revealed by the Foreign Office. The spokesperson of the Foreign Office has said that the US should refrain from issuing such statements that could be perceived as encouraging India’s baseless and political narrative against Pakistan.

He said that in the joint statement, America was informed about Pakistan’s reservations and disappointment over Pakistan’s unnecessary, one-sided and misleading references. In addition, Pakistan was informed about the US-India joint statement issued on June 22.
