On May 9, in the case of vandalism and arson, the Anti-Terrorism Court of Rawalpindi ordered Shehryar Afridi to be sent to jail on judicial remand after completing his 5-day physical remand.
Shahryar Khan Afridi, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in RA Bazar police station case, was produced before Judge Hamid Hussain of the Anti-Terrorism Court on completion of 5-day physical remand.
The court rejected the request of the police for further physical remand and ordered Shehryar Afridi to be sent to jail on judicial remand.
During the hearing, an application was also filed by the lawyer for Shahryar Afridi’s bail, which will be heard on July 3.
Shahryar Afridi’s lawyer also requested to get his medical done in the court.
On this occasion, Shahryar Afridi’s lawyer said that the photos and audio of his client have been sent to Lahore for forensics.
Shehryar Afridi will be produced again in the court on July 10 after the completion of judicial remand.
