The judicial magistrate’s court of Lahore reserved the decision regarding the physical remand of former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in the money laundering case.
The case was heard in the court of judicial magistrate.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has requested the court to remand Parvez Elahi for 14 days.
The FIA prosecutor said that they are investigating money laundering against Pervez Elahi, who was then Speaker Punjab Assembly and public office holder.
The prosecutor said that there is evidence that Mohammad Zaman did money laundering for Pervez Elahi, the court should grant physical remand of Chaudhry Pervez Elahi.
Parvez Elahi’s lawyer Rana Intar has argued that this is the seventh FIR against Pervez Elahi, in one case he gets bail and in the other he is arrested.
Lawyer Rana Intizar said that not a single piece of evidence presented was against Parvez Elahi, the statement was taken forcibly from Muhammad Zaman, there is nothing against Parvez Elahi in his statement.
