Karachi: US Ambassador Donald Bloom has said in the context of strong bilateral relations between Washington and Islamabad that the US is determined to promote trade and investment.
Addressing the US Independence Day celebrations in Karachi, he said, “I am grateful for the opportunity to live and serve in this remarkable country. Americans and Pakistanis have much in common and many shared achievements to be proud of.” Together, we can advance a more stable, greener and more prosperous future for both our nations.
In addition, in his meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Ambassador Bloom discussed opportunities to expand US-Pakistan trade and economic partnership and other common priorities.
Ambassador Bloom witnessed the commencement exercise at the Pakistan Naval Academy. In this regard, he said that we want to further strengthen maritime security cooperation with the Pakistan Navy so that economic activities in the region and the world can be facilitated and shipping in international waters can be made safer.
