The Chinese government declared Federal Minister for Planning and Development and General Secretary of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Ahsan Iqbal as the hero of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
As in the past, this time too, the hard work and dedication Ahsan Iqbal has served in the implementation of the CPEC project will always be remembered in the history of CPEC.
In this regard, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong gave Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal the title of “Mr. CPEC” while China’s Deputy Ambassador Lijin Zhao gave Ahsan Iqbal the title of CPEC Hero in view of his services in CPEC. Ahsan Iqbal has played the most important role in turning the dream of CPEC into reality.
He further said that Ahsan Iqbal united 12 Ministries of Pakistan through CPEC Joint Coordination Committee which is also the biggest platform for CPEC project monitoring.
It should be noted that Ahsan Iqbal has chaired 8 out of 11 meetings of the Joint Coordination Committee so far.
According to the Chinese Deputy Ambassador, Ahsan Iqbal’s trade and skills have benefited not only Pakistan but also the Chinese government.
Ahsan Iqbal has also made several visits to China to speed up the implementation of the CPEC project.
According to Chinese officials, Ahsan Iqbal’s role in CPEC will always be remembered by the people of China and Pakistan.
The Chinese authorities are also grateful to former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif who nominated a hardworking and honest person like Ahsan Iqbal for CPEC for this project.
