Heavy snowfall has started once again in the upper regions of the country, the roads have been blocked due to snow and people are confined to their homes.
Murree, Astor, Nanga Parbat and Girdu areas received heavy snowfall while around 5 inches of snowfall was recorded around Lowari Tunnel. The beautiful valleys of Kashmir are also covered with snow.
On the other hand, in different parts of the country, there has been some heavy and some light rain, after which the intensity of cold has increased.
A new series of westerly winds is set to arrive in the upper regions of the country including Naran Kaghan from February 9 and 10.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain and snow are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan.
