Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan has fulfilled all the conditions of the IMF, held detailed negotiations with the IMF team, as a result of the negotiations, we have accepted the taxes of 215 billion rupees. But it will not take, we have also agreed that we will reduce our ongoing expenses, we have agreed on a cut of 85 billion rupees in terms of expenses, this cut will not affect the salary or pension, it was suggested that the salary class But how can the tax be doubled?

The Finance Minister said that God willing, we will have an agreement with the IMF. If the agreement is reached with the IMF, it will be published on the website of the Ministry of Finance.

He said that the estimated expenditure of the federal government will be 14 thousand 480 rupees, the budget has improved and there will be a benefit of 300 billion in the financial deficit, he wants to tell the nation that there are many reasons for financial difficulties.

The finance minister said that due to the policies of the previous government, there were bad effects on the economy. Thank God, the people of Pakistan have become aware of such things. Ishaq Dar further said that government expenditure has been cut by 15% in the current financial year, 30 billion rupees have been set aside for utility stores, the amount of Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has been increased from 360 billion to 460 billion rupees. 5 billion has been allocated for Ramadan package and 34 billion under the Prime Minister’s package, all requirements will be met in the defense budget, the budget of the armed forces has been maintained, 31 billion has been approved for the youth. have been done.

The Finance Minister said that the pension of Employees Old Age Benefit Institution (EOBI) is being increased from 8 and a half thousand to 10 thousand rupees. The finance minister said that due to the reduction in external financing, new taxes of 213 billion are being imposed, efforts are being made to increase the scope of the tax net so that the tax payers are not burdened, 6% super on companies earning 35 to 40 crore rupees annually. Tax will be levied, 8% super tax will be levied on companies earning Rs 40 to 50 crore per annum, tax is applicable worldwide on windfall profits.
