A representative of the US Consulate in Lahore met former finance minister Salman Shah’s daughter Khadija Shah in Kot Lakhpat Jail and discussed the legal aspects for her release.
According to jail sources, a representative of the US consulate reached Kot Lakhpat Jail following official protocol and met Khadija Shah, which lasted for about an hour.
According to the sources, Khadija Shah has dual citizenship, that’s why the Ministry of Interior gave her access to the representative of the American Consulate.
Khadija Shah is in jail in the case of burning, encirclement and inciting people at Jinnah House on May 9.
