The data of the detained suspects involved in the incidents of May 9 was submitted to the Supreme Court. The Punjab government’s report does not include the data of the accused, minor children, journalists and lawyers in the custody of the army.
According to the report, 81 women were detained in the May 9 incidents, out of which 42 were released on bail.
Under Maintenance of Public Order (MPO), 2,258 arrest warrants were issued, 3,050 people were found involved in vandalism.
According to the report, 1888 people were arrested under the anti-terrorism law, 108 accused are on physical remand and 1247 accused are on judicial remand, 500 people were released as innocent.
