The 1993 blockbuster film ‘Dur’ proved to be a turning point in the film career success of Shahrukh Khan, Sunny Deol and Juhi Chawla.
In the film, Shah Rukh Khan played the role of a villain while Sunny Deol was portrayed as a commando.
In a TV program, Sunny Deol reminisced and said that he had a serious disagreement with director Yash Chopra during the shooting of ‘Der’.
He said that I had a bitter argument with Yash Chopra on one scene, I tried to explain to him that my role is that of a commando, how can a boy easily defeat him in a hand to hand fight?
Sunny Deol said that in anger I did not realize that I had put my hands in the pockets of my pants and while talking I had torn the pockets.
Earlier in 2001 too, Sunny Deol had said that if I had to start my career again, I would not make the same mistake as ‘Dur’, working in this film was the worst experience of my life.
He had said that I will never work with Yash Chopra again, he doesn’t keep his word, I don’t have good memories with him.
Remember that after ‘Dar’, Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol did not speak to each other for 16 years.
