Filed an application against the notification to transfer Uzair Baloch from Central Jail to Sub Jail.
In this regard, the Sindh High Court has issued notices to the Sindh Government, IG Jails, Superintendent Central Jail, and the parties have been asked to respond by July 13.
The petitioner, Haider Farooq, said that Uzair Baloch has been in jail since 2016. On June 9, 2020, a notification was issued to transfer Uzair Baloch from Central Jail to Sub-Jail Mitha Ram.
The petitioner stated that basic facilities are not being provided to Uzair Baloch in Sub Jail Meetha Ram instead he is locked in a small cramped room without fan.
The petitioner further stated that family members are allowed to visit one day in a month and there is a fear that Uzair Baloch may not be killed while being taken from the jail to the court.
The petitioner requested the court to quash the notification of transferring Uzair Baloch to sub-jail and order to provide him with all basic facilities and security.
