Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq al-Rabiyyah, has welcomed more than 2 million pilgrims from more than 160 countries.
He said this in the meeting of the Saudi cabinet under the chairmanship of King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
According to the Saudi media, the Saudi cabinet has welcomed the pilgrims from all over the world in the meeting.
Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiyyah, has said that 1.7 million pilgrims booked air travel to come on Hajj.
He told the Saudi cabinet that the Saudi authorities have appointed 32,000 health officials for the pilgrims.
Dr. Tawfiq al-Rabiyyah said that the transport system in Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat has been made environment-friendly.
He further said that Mushaira train, bus shuttle service is providing transportation facility to the pilgrims.
In the cabinet meeting, the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiyyah, has also informed that 130,000 shade trees have been planted at Hajj places for the comfort of pilgrims.
