Ali Safina, a well-known comedian actor and host associated with the Pakistan showbiz industry, explained why the stories of today’s dramas are not unique.
Recently, Ali Safina participated in a web show and spoke openly about the drama industry, lamenting the lack of Mayanaz dramatists and the underappreciation of the best dramatists.
Speaking during the show, he said that here the playwrights are not paid well, the stories of the plays are not worked on and they are not given time.
He said that for the last few years, this attitude has been adopted that dramas are being made only for women or young generation because they get ratings, our dramas have lost their purpose.
He revealed that the team of drama writers often reproduce the names of the characters in old plays with some changes and when the script comes to the hands of the artists, it feels familiar.
He also said that some production houses are also under pressure due to lack of time. Often the playwrights send 7 or 8 episodes of the play and after reading the same, they start shooting. The direction is going and nothing can be done at this time.
