A citizen of India reached Makkah Mukarrama by walking a long journey of 8 and a half thousand kilometers.
According to Saudi media, Shahabuddin, an Indian citizen, has traveled 8,640 kilometers on foot to perform Hajj.
Dr. Shahabuddin from the Indian state of Kerala has completed this 8,640 km walking journey in 370 days.
This journey of Shahabuddin started from Malappuram district of Kerala state of India, passed through Pakistan, Iran, Kuwait and ended in Makkah city of Saudi Arabia.
It should be noted that this year more than 2 million pilgrims from more than 160 countries will perform Hajj.
According to Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabi’ah, 1.7 million pilgrims from all over the world have booked air travel to come for Hajj.
Regarding the facilities provided by the Saudi government for pilgrims around the world, he has said that the Saudi authorities have appointed 32,000 health officials for the pilgrims.
Dr. Tawfiq al-Rabiyyah has said that the transport system in Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat has been made environment-friendly, Mushaira train, bus shuttle service is providing transportation facilities to the pilgrims.
The Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah has also said that 130,000 shade trees have been planted at Hajj places for the comfort of pilgrims.
