According to the Meteorological Department, there is a risk of melting of glaciers in upper areas of Chitral, Upper Kohistan, Upper Dir and Swat.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) from Peshawar issued a letter to the concerned district administration.
The Director General (DG) PDMA said in an ongoing post to ensure the availability of emergency and rescue services personnel.
According to the post, keep equipment ready for quick response in any emergency situation. Tourists and travelers in sensitive areas should be warned in advance.
The PDMA letter further said that in case of any obstruction, the restoration of the roads should be ensured. The relevant institutions should be alert to deal with the emergency situation.
