Former prime minister and senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that a compact economy is the need of the day.
Addressing the birthday celebration of Benazir Bhutto in Multan, Yusuf Raza Gilani said that there are different opinions in the coalition government, political parties have their own plans.
He said that after the martyrdom of Bibi, Nawaz Sharif announced the boycott of the elections, Asif Ali Zardari prohibited the PML-N leader from boycotting the elections.
The former prime minister further said that the charter of economy is the need of the day, the charter of economy must have all the stakeholders.
He said that Benazir Bhutto came out with the mission of his father Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, he sought for democracy in the country.
Yusuf Raza Gilani also said that the thoughts and concerns of leaders never die, Bibi’s thoughts and concerns are still present in the hearts of people, People’s Party will present its manifesto soon.
