The Caretaker Cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa approved the budget for 4 months of the next financial year.
An increase of 35% in the salaries of government employees from grade 1 to 16 and 30% increase in the salaries of government officers of grade 17 and above was approved.
The provincial cabinet increased the pension by 17 and a half percent in the budget and fixed the minimum wage of labor from 26,000 to 32,000.
In the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa budget, the convention allowance of disabled employees has been increased to 100% while there will be a ban on creating new posts during this period.
In a briefing after the budget was approved, the provincial adviser on finance said that a 25% cut has been made on expenditure, and the purchase of new government vehicles has been banned.
He further said that the budget has 462 billion rupees for expenditure, 350 billion rupees for current and non-developmental budget and 112 billion rupees for development projects.
Bakhtullah Khan also said that the cabinet has approved the budget for 4 months from July 1 to October 31.
The finance adviser said that the current budget is neither a surplus nor a deficit budget, we have not taken any loan, we have not taken any overdraft from the State Bank in 4 months.
He said that the ration allowance for the police has been increased from Rs.600 to Rs.1000.
