A case has been registered against the producer of the popular Indian sitcom ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Alta Chashma’ for sexual harassment.
According to an Indian media report, the Mumbai police registered a case under sections 354 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the producer Ast Kumar Modi on the complaint of an actress who was part of the cast of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Alta Chashma’. However, no arrests have been made yet.
According to the report, the actress has accused the drama’s producer Astakumar Modi, project head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jeetan Bajaj of sexual harassment and mental torture during the shoot.
The report also states that the actress who made these allegations had separated from the cast of the drama 15 years ago.
