Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra’s first wife Prakash Kaur, who is always seen away from the media, made her first appearance in the media when the actor decided to tie the knot with Hema Malini.
In his reaction to Dharmendra’s second marriage, Prakash Kaur said, ‘Any man would prefer Hemamalini over me, what was wrong if my husband did that?’
Not only that, but she blamed the Bollywood industry and its culture for her husband’s second marriage.
He said that what Dharmendra has done, he is doing half the film industry of India, all the heroes are having affairs and they are doing second marriages.
In his same interview in 1981, Prakash Kaur revealed that ‘Dharmendra’s father, my father-in-law, is also against film stars even though his own son is an actor, but Babuji never wanted him to become an actor’.
He said that ‘if Babuji had his way, he would want to see the entire film industry wiped out’.
It should be noted that Dharmendra got married to Prakash Kaur in 1954 when he was only 19 years old. From the first marriage, the actor has 4 children Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijita Deol and Ajitha Deol.
Later, Dharmendra fell in love with Bollywood’s dream girl Hema Malini, so he did not divorce his first wife but separated from her.
He also converted to Islam to marry Hema Malini and got married again, the couple has two daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.
