Karachi: Gulshan Iqbal Police arrested 2 suspects involved in looting from cattle market traders during the alleged police encounter while one injured suspect was arrested from Jinnah Hospital, the arrested group consists of 6 suspects including 2 girls.

According to the details, Gulshan Iqbal Police arrested 2 accused Imran son of Irshad and Abdul Sattar son of Jabbar in an alleged police encounter near Rashid Mehnas Road Noman Center and recovered weapons from their possession while 2 companions of the arrested accused were injured. They managed to escape.

A dacoit Mahbub-ur-Rehman son of Gul Rehman, who fled the scene in an injured state, was arrested while undergoing treatment at Jinnah Hospital.

According to SHO Gulshan Iqbal Arshad Afridi, the group of arrested robbers consists of 6 suspects, including 2 girls, and the arrested suspects took both the girls off the bike before the incident and after the incident, they tried to deceive the police. So the girls escape by sitting on the bike.

He said that the arrested suspects have revealed in the preliminary investigation that their group is involved in extorting cash from the traders of the cattle market, four days ago in the limits of Aziz Bhatti police station, the same accused took Rs. Aziz Bhatti was the only one who snatched 4 lakh rupees from the police station. The group of arrested accused is involved in cases of snatching cash, mobile phones from several citizens and belongs to South Punjab.

The SHO said that after registering a case against the arrested accused, raids are being conducted against their absconding accomplices Imran, Rashid and 2 girls.
