Karachi: Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the leader of Pakistan People’s Party, took oath as the Mayor of Karachi.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister, Sindh Governor and PPP workers and leaders participated in the oath-taking ceremony held at the Polo Ground in Karachi.
The Election Commissioner of Sindh administered the oath of office to the newly elected Mayor of Karachi, in which he took an oath that he will take all measures to serve the people and perform his duties well.
After the swearing in of Mayor Karachi, Deputy Mayor Abdullah Murad took the oath of office.
After taking the oath, the Pakistan People’s Party workers in the venue raised slogans like ‘Zinda Hai Bhutto, Prime Minister Bilawal’ and others.
Later, Administrator Karachi handed over the symbolic key of Karachi city to Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab.
