Mumbai: Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel has been granted conditional bail in the Rs 3 crore fraud case.
Film producer Ajay Kumar has filed a case against the actress and her partner, according to which the actress owed them Rs 2.5 crore for making the film, but the film was not made and they did not get the money back with interest.
According to Ajay Kumar, the checks given to him had bounced, that’s why he decided to go to court.
Ameesha Patel appeared before the Ranchi Civil Court on the order of the court and surrendered, after which the court granted her conditional bail and ordered her to appear again on June 21.
The actress is returning to the big screen with the sequel of her blockbuster film ‘Ghadr’ co-starring Sunny Deol in the lead role and is slated to release on August 11.
