The Greek government has provided information to Pakistan regarding the preliminary investigation of the boat accident.
According to the information, the sunken boat left Benghazi, Libya for Italy on June 9. The accident occurred on June 14, 50 nautical miles from Plas, Greece.
The accident site is near a 5km deep fishing area off the coast of Greece, the owner of the boat is Egyptian.
People from Pakistan, Syria and Libya were on board the boat. After the accident, Hellenic Coast Guard rescued 104 people including 12 Pakistanis.
The bodies of 79 people were also recovered, the bodies could not be identified.
Apart from this, the names of 14 Pakistani human traffickers have been revealed through the statements of the persons rescued after the boat accident in Greece.
Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) teams have been formed to arrest the human traffickers after their identity is revealed.
According to FIA sources, 5 of the human traffickers belong to Gujarat, whose names are Shafqat, Faisal Sanyara, Asif Sanyara, Haji Zulfikar and Mian Irfan.
