Karachi: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeemur Rahman has said that if the date of elections is not given in the remaining UCs of Karachi in 2 days, there will be a protest.
Hafiz Naeemur Rahman, while giving a press conference at Noor Haq Institute, said that the process after the municipal election has been stopped. He questioned under what pressure the dates of elections are not being given in the remaining UCs of Karachi. The Election Commission is an instrument of the Sindh government. If the date is not given in 2 days, we will protest.
Hafiz Naeemur Rahman said that he did not want to escape from the election by making constituencies as the basis, elections were held on the same constituencies in the past. Despite all the tactics, Jamaat-e-Islami won the most votes while there were constant attempts to change the election results. He said that the city has voted for us, our mandate should be recognized. Jamaat-e-Islami will do historic work in this city.
He said that Allah has blessed Pakistan with blessings. If the ruling class remains in luxury, we will be deprived of blessings. Karachi is the heart and mind of Pakistan. This city cannot be ignored. Ignore it, but Karachi has its own importance. Karachi wants the best transport system. It is the responsibility of the Sindh government to provide the best facilities.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi said that we have to beg from the IMF all the time. We can change the economy by improving the industries of Karachi. The government does not give rights to the people of Karachi. The people of Karachi are also rigged in the census. The population of Karachi has reached close to 3.5 crores.
He said that Karachi is always abused. Karachi runs the economy of the entire country. Every citizen should have the right to check himself whether he is registered or not. Census SOP is not being clarified. The person where he resides should be counted. If true. If the census is held in Karachi, the seats of the Provincial Assembly of Karachi will increase.
Hafiz Naeem said that at present the citizens are worried about the gas crisis. The teams of SSGC are not working on time, which is a question mark on their performance. K Electric is shedding load for 10 hours. The people of Karachi will not get electricity from the plant inaugurated by the Prime Minister in Karachi.
