Peshawar: A new oil and gas well has been discovered in Lakki Marwat area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
An oil and gas well has been discovered in Bitni, a remote area of Lakki Marwat, which will yield 1,000 barrels of oil per day. Oil and gas have come out in the well at a depth of 4,300 meters. With the support of the security forces, gas supply has started from the new well, while Sui Northern Gas Company has also started supplying gas from the new well.
According to the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, the delivery of crude oil from Betni well to the refinery has also started.
The new gas reservoir is yielding 13 million standard cubic meters of gas per day.
