The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad, while pronouncing the verdict in the Osama Sati murder case, awarded death sentence to 2 criminals and life imprisonment to 3 others.
Additional Sessions Judge of District and Sessions Court Islamabad Ziba Chaudhry pronounced a safe verdict in the Osama Sati case.
The court sentenced criminals Iftikhar Ahmed and Muhammad Mustafa to death while Saeed Ahmed, Shakeel Ahmed and Mudassar Mukhtar were sentenced to life imprisonment.
The District and Sessions Court Islamabad also imposed a fine of one lakh rupees on the criminals Iftikhar Ahmed and Muhammad Mustafa.
All the convicts convicted in the Osama Sati murder case belong to the Anti-Terrorism Police.
After the verdict was pronounced, the criminals were moved from the court room to the Bakshi Khang under tight security.
After the verdict, Osama Sati’s father broke down outside the courtroom.
It should be noted that Additional Sessions Judge of District and Sessions Court Islamabad Ziba Chaudhry had reserved the decision of Osama Sati case on completion of trial on January 31, which was pronounced today.
The trial of Osama Sati case lasted for 2 years and 1 month.
22-year-old Osama Sati was killed on the Srinagar highway in January 2021 at 1.30 am.
