UC Chairman Afaq Baig was arrested for objecting to illegal road cutting in Karachi

He was detained on the orders of Assistant Commissioner Gulberg Neha Shah

Karachi: Afaq Baig, chairman of UC 3 Gulberg Town, was detained by the police over a road cutting dispute and released after 8 hours in custody.

According to Afaq Baig, he had raised an objection to the illegal cutting of the road adjacent to Al Mohsen Imambargah, on which he was detained by Yusuf Plaza police.

He was detained on the orders of Assistant Commissioner Gulberg Neha Shah. According to Afaq Baig, he is being pressured to apologize to the Assistant Commissioner. Afaq Baig belongs to Jamaat-e-Islami.
