ISLAMABAD: (PNP News) Federal Minister for Energy Khurram Dastgir Khan says that there is no major power failure in the country, it is hoped that in the next 12 hours the power will be fully restored throughout the country, Peshawar and Islamabad. Some grid stations have been restored.

Khurram Dastgir Khan said that at the time of power generation, each megawatt is looked at to see what effect it will have on the power tariff, and since the demand for electricity is less in winter, the system is used mostly at night. are turned off and the system is turned on again one by one in the morning.

He said that around seven o’clock this morning when the system was being turned on one by one, there was a power breakdown between Jamshoro and Dadu due to lack of frequency.

The federal minister said that the breakdown has come from north to south and we are gradually restoring the system from south to north, we have started restoring some systems from Tarbela and Warsak. The supply will be fully restored, efforts are being made to restore full power before that.

The Federal Minister for Energy further said that the issue of Karachi city is a bit complicated, K Electric also has its own system in Karachi, but the 1100 megawatts of electricity supplied to Karachi from the National Grid will be restored in a few hours. .
