Saudi Arabia gave 96 billion dollars in aid to 167 countries

From 1996 to 2023, Saudi Arabia provided 96 billion dollars in humanitarian aid and assistance to 167 countries.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s adviser on humanitarian aid and relief center, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Rabiyyah, told this in a meeting with media representatives and influencers in Spain.

A meeting with media representatives was held on the sidelines of the World Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization Conference in Madrid, where Saudi Ambassador Azam Al-Qain also participated.

Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz said that KS Relief Center wants to gain a central position in humanitarian activities at the international level.

He said that KS Relief, established in 2015, provided 6.248 billion dollars for 2,402 humanitarian projects in 92 countries.

These projects included food security, education, health, social security, water, environment, logistics, shelter and other projects.

Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz said that 175 international organizations were partnered with these humanitarian projects, most of the projects were for Yemen, which numbered 814, and 4 billion dollars were spent on them.

He said that KS Relief Center worked on 885 projects for women and 815 projects for children, which benefited 937,000 women and children from 33 countries.

He said that Saudi Arabia is one of the major countries hosting refugees.

1 million 74 thousand 153 refugees from Yemen, Syria and Myanmar live here and are provided with employment, free education and health facilities.

Saudi Arabia has worked on 103 projects worth 863 million dollars to deal with the global epidemic corona virus, in which vaccine doses have been provided to more than 41 countries.
