Karachi: An eleven-member committee has been set up under the direction of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Sindh President Haleem Adil Shaikh to investigate the issue of non-appearance of UC Chairman and Vice Chairman of PTI in the election of Mayor Deputy Mayor Karachi.
The notification of the said committee was issued by the General Secretary of Sindh, Advocate Ali Pulh. Mubasher Hasan has been added to the 11-member committee comprising the parliamentary leaders of Karachi.
The said committee will hand over the report to the President of Sindh after the investigation till 5 pm today, in which it will be explained why PTI’s UCS Chairman Vice Chairman did not come to vote.

Committee PTI leader Khurram Sher Zaman, Arslan Ghman, Attaullah Khan, Aftab Jahangir, Faheem Khan, Saeed Afridi, Raja Azhar, Dr Shahab Imam, Advocate Shujaat Ali Khan have been included.
It should be noted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had announced unconditional support of Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman for the Mayor of Karachi, but four days ago, the forward block of PTI’s UC chairmen came forward, which did not vote for Jamaat-e-Islami’s candidate. announced.
During the voting for Mayor Karachi, 32 members were absent, out of which 31 belonged to PTI and 1 belonged to TLP, while Firdous Shamim Naqvi, despite being present, did not cast his vote.
The Jamaat-e-Islami candidate had protested in front of the returning officer during the voting and said that the UC chairmen and local body representatives who supported us have been taken from their homes and kept in safe houses, they should be released and given the right to vote. Despite listening to the reservations, the returning officer continued the voting process and PPP’s Murtaza Wahab was declared successful while PPP’s Abdullah Murad was also successful in the post of deputy mayor.
