A bandit was seriously injured in an encounter near the airport on Shahrah Faisal in Karachi.
According to the police, there was an exchange of fire between the police and the bandits near the airport on Shahrah Faisal. The policeman was seriously injured by three bullets while the bandits fired back and one bandit was also seriously injured.
The injured robber was shifted to Jinnah Hospital by the rescue personnel, where he could not survive, while the injured officer, Ghulam Qadir, was shifted to a private hospital on Stadium Road, where his condition is said to be critical.
The police say that the identity of the bandit who died during treatment has not yet been ascertained.
