The Department of Boards and Universities has expressed serious concern over giving high salary and allowances to the employees of public universities of Sindh and emphasized the need to make it equal to the general employees.

The post states that the universities have adopted official pay scales and allowances along with payment of additional allowances under various names based on the resolutions/decisions of the Syndicate. This practice is against fiscal discipline and needs to be corrected.
Therefore, it is directed that the salaries of the employees of all public universities should either be done in “Toto” of the salaries and allowances of the government employees or recommend their pay scale and allowances to the Finance and Planning Committee with the formal approval of the Chief Minister of Sindh. / To be approved by the Senate.
