People’s Party has won all the 6 positions of mayor in Sindh including Karachi.
Murtaza Wahab has been elected mayor in Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Kashif Shoro of People’s Party has been elected mayor in Hyderabad.
Arslan Islam Sheikh of PPP has been elected from Sukkur Municipal Corporation, Abdul Rauf has been elected as mayor from Mirpur Khas.
Similarly, Anwar Ali Lohar has been elected from Larkana Municipal Corporation while Rashid Bhatti has been elected as Mayor from Shaheed Benazirabad Municipal Corporation.
Sindh: PPP chairman elected in 20 district councils
Chairman of People’s Party has been elected in 20 out of 22 district councils of Sindh.
In 30 out of 36 municipal committees of Sindh, People’s Party has been elected as chairman of GDA in one municipal committee.
Out of the 141 town committees of Sindh, the chairman of People’s Party has been elected in 121, GDA in 5, Azad in one and Tehreek-e-Insaf in one.
Out of the 44 Town Municipal Corporations of Sindh, the Chairman of People’s Party has succeeded in 27, the Chairman of Jamaat-e-Islami in 6 and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf in 3.
