Despite the tense situation in Sudan, the first group of 245 pilgrims reached Jeddah Islamic port by sea.

According to Arab media, the Sudanese pilgrims were received on Wednesday in Jeddah by the Director General of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Abdul Rahman Al-Ghanam, the Director of the Department of Hajj and Umrah at the Jeddah Islamic Port, Vice President Mazen bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi and others.

The authorities congratulated the pilgrims and presented them with bouquets, Ajawa dates and Zamzam water.

It should be noted that for more than 8 weeks, Khartoum and other parts of Sudan have been engulfed in bloody fighting between the army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces.
