Due to the cyclone, the LNG terminal in Karachi has been affected, gas supply to power plants and LNG import has been stopped.
Federal Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir says that electricity may have to be shut down from a safety point of view.
He further said that there may be a state of emergency from June 15 to 18.
It should be noted that the Energy Minister has reached Karachi to monitor the situation.
