Islamabad: (PNP News) The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued guidelines for caretaker governments, posting transfers in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be subject to the permission of the Election Commission.
According to the guidelines of the Election Commission, the caretaker Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments will assist in the conduct of the elections, there will be a ban on recruitment in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while a ban will also be imposed on the announcement of new development schemes.
According to the guidelines, the funds of local governments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab have been frozen, the official residences of former chief ministers, ministers and advisors of both provinces will be vacated and vehicles will be taken back.
Caretaker governments will only be able to deal with day-to-day affairs, Caretaker Chief Ministers and Ministers will submit their and their family’s financial statements to the Election Commission within three days.
