Cyclone Buparjoy will make landfall at Kati Bandar Coast around 11 am today. Coastal areas of Thatta and Sajawal will be more affected by the storm.

While holding a press conference in Islamabad yesterday, Sherry Rehman said that the evacuation of people from the coastal areas is being made possible, the cyclone of 1999 was like this, there is some confusion among the people, they are worried.

Sherry Rehman added that all the agencies are active for patrolling relief and rescue, 66 thousand people have been moved to a safe place, the most important work before the hurricane is the evacuation of the population.

Buparjoy is close to Keti Bandar but a little far from Karachi, it is 290 km from Keti Bandar, the distance from Karachi was earlier 340 km, now it is 370 km.

Despite being far from Karachi, the storm will show its impact, with rains in Keti Bandar, Sajawal and Tharparkar, dusty winds in Mirpur Khas and Umarkot, while tidal surges occurred in Lasbela.

The rescue operations of the administration, Pakistan Navy and Army are ongoing in the coastal areas, Navy divers have safely rescued dozens of fishermen trapped in the sea.

More than 64,000 people were evacuated from the coastal areas to safe places, despite the instructions, some people are still in the coastal areas, they refused to leave their homes.
