Washington: The US has said that the cases of civilians involved in the events of May 9 are known to be going on in the military court.
The spokesperson of the US State Department, Matthew Miller, said in a media briefing that they have said before and are still saying that the Pakistani authorities should make democratic values and the rule of law the same for all according to the constitution.
He said that in high-level contacts with Pakistan, there are discussions regarding human rights and observance of law and democratic values.
In response to a question regarding Pakistan’s purchase of oil from Russia, the spokesperson of the Department of Foreign Affairs said that each country has to make its own decision to meet its energy needs. The United States did not ban Russia’s energy-related exports.
The spokesman said that due to the limit set by the US and its allies, the price of Russian oil fell and it suffered a loss of 100 billion dollars.
