The code of conduct for the election of Mayor Karachi continues

Karachi: The Election Commission has prepared the code of conduct for the election of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Karachi.

According to the sources, there will be a ban on bringing mobile phones of the voters in the election of mayor and deputy mayor in Pong station. Members must bring original identity card to enter the polling hall and campaigning in the polling station will be prohibited.

According to the code of conduct prepared by the Election Commission, the doors of the hall will be closed on June 15 at 10:30 am, the mayor and deputy mayor will be elected by show of hands, the names of the voters will be called according to the Urdu alphabet. will go. First the mayor and then the deputy mayor will be elected.

Voters in favor of the candidate will be counted on one side. A special register will be entered along with counting by show of hand, the winner will be decided based on the support of the people present in the hall.

Rioting and obstructing inside the polling station will be dealt with. Campaigning within 400 meters of polling station will be illegal.

According to the Election Commission, political parties, candidates and polling agents will be bound to avoid any opinion against the ideology of Pakistan, judiciary and armed forces.

On the other hand, a meeting of Mayor and Deputy Mayor candidates was also called by the Election Commission on the code of conduct in which People’s Party’s Murtaza Wahab and Jamaat-e-Islami’s Hafiz Naeemur Rehman were also present.
