Karachi: Police recovered the girls who were allegedly brutalized by their stepmother in Malir area of Shahr Quaid.
According to Express News, an obstetrician mother allegedly brutally tortured two girls in Malir, after which neighbors reported the incident on One Five, the police took immediate action and rescued the two girls.
According to the police officials, the stepmother kept the girls tied on the roof of the house in extreme heat while they were tortured even for asking for food.
According to the police sources, the marks of being burned with a hot object are also visible on the body of the girls. It is alleged that the girls were burned on their bodies when they asked for food.
The two girls are 9 and 11 years old, who have been shifted to Jinnah Hospital after being recovered, while the incident is being investigated by taking the stepmother into custody.
The police say that anyone involved in the humanitarian incident will be punished according to the law.
