Quetta: Section 144 was enforced by issuing high alert on the coastal belt of the province on the instructions of Chief Minister Balochistan in view of Cyclone Biper Joy.
The leaves of the employees of all the concerned departments were canceled while high alert was issued in all the hospitals.
The Chief Minister directed that Commissioner Makran and Commissioner Kalat should personally monitor the measures taken to deal with the challenge of cyclone, proper coordination should be established among law enforcement agencies, civil administration and all related institutions. Fishermen consider the sea the best and should be consulted on the situation.
The Chief Minister was briefed by DGP DDMA on the preparation of relief activities as per the expected situation. DGPDMA is present in Gwadar along with his team, missionaries and support equipment.
The Chief Minister directed that while continuously monitoring the situation, a plan of action should be prepared accordingly, preparations should be made to effectively deal with all kinds of emergencies in the hurricane.
