The major sources of receipts of the office of Additional IG are police compensation provided to the federal government, railways and various government departments and the private sector, police land revenue, recoveries of additional payments.

SSP Security Special Branch Karachi also gave a revenue of 8.35 million rupees to the Sindh government in the form of fines and confiscations.

The Counter-Terrorism Cell of the Counter-Terrorism Department in Karachi was also quite active. In the last financial year, this department sent 65 million rupees to the Sindh government treasury for recovery of police land revenue and additional payments.
