Murtaza Wahab, candidate for mayor of Pakistan People’s Party of Karachi, has said that the nomination papers of our mayor and deputy mayor have been approved.
Speaking to the media outside the Election Commission, Murtaza Wahab said that Jamaat-e-Islami lodged an objection but the Election Commission overruled it.
Murtaza Wahab says that Jamaat-e-Islami should accept the mandate of People’s Party, we are still working for Karachi without a position.
He said that measures are also being taken regarding the storm, whoever becomes the mayor of Karachi should not cry about powers and just work.
The People’s Party leader says that the Local Government Act was amended before the announcement of the election schedule, and no one should influence the elections to be held on June 15.
The papers of Najmi Alam and Karamullah were also approved
Papers of Pakistan People’s Party’s mayoral candidate Murtaza Wahab, Najmi Alam and Karamullah have been approved.
The nomination papers of PPP Deputy Mayor candidates Salman Abdullah and Irshad Ali were approved.
