Istana: Fourteen people have been killed so far due to fire in the forests of northeastern Kazakhstan.

According to international media reports, the Ministry of Emergencies of Kazakhstan said that fourteen people have died due to a fire in the forests of northeastern Kazakhstan.

A total of 14 bodies have been found, the ministry said. The ministry had earlier announced that it was searching for wildlife rangers trapped in the 148,000-acre forest fire.

The ministry also said that 316 people have been evacuated from the affected area and the houses in the area are also in safe condition despite hampering the relief operations due to high temperature and changing wind direction.
