Finance Minister Ishaq Dar presented a budget of 14 thousand 460 billion for the financial year 2023-24 in the National Assembly session. In the budget, 1 billion rupees have been allocated for the health insurance of journalists.
Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has expressed happiness over the allocation of one billion rupees for the health insurance of journalists in the upcoming budget.
Maryam Aurangzeb said that for the first time in the budget money has been allocated for the health insurance of working journalists.
He thanked Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and said that as Information Minister, it was one of his objectives to arrange this facility for working journalists especially in this difficult time.
