Cynthia Go: A wildfire in Chile has also engulfed farmland, killing 23 people and injuring more than 900.

According to the World News Agency, the terrible fire that broke out in the forests of Puerin in the Irucanya region of Chile immediately spread to the surrounding fields and residential areas.

Before the fire was reported, an area of ​​5 hectares of forest had been completely burnt in the fire, while the fire is continuously advancing and has so far engulfed an area covering 40 thousand hectares.

There are 281 forest fires out of which 80 have been brought under control. The fire broke out Saturday as temperatures in the forest exceeded 104 degrees Fahrenheit.

The fire spread so fast that the residents did not get a chance to leave the affected area. Firefighters are making desperate efforts to control the fire, but they have not been successful so far.

Volunteers of the rescue team have moved more than 1,000 people to shelters where there is a shortage of clean drinking water, food and medicine.
