The budget of the province of Sindh for 2023-24 will be presented today, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah will present the budget of the province in the House. The provincial development budget is proposed to be kept at 410 billion rupees.

In the federal PSDP, more than 12 billion rupees have been estimated for the province, the budget estimate for foreign funded projects is more than 266 billion rupees.

More than 380 billion rupees are proposed to be allocated for new and ongoing development schemes, 88 billion rupees are proposed to be allocated for 7193 new schemes in the next financial year.

It is proposed to allocate 291 billion rupees for 3311 ongoing schemes in Sindh, 1772 schemes will be completed in the current financial year in the province.

It is proposed to allocate more than 12 billion 52 crore rupees for the ongoing mega projects of Karachi.

It is proposed to allocate 30 billion rupees for the district development budget, in the development budget it is proposed to allocate more than 100 billion rupees for foreign aid projects for Karachi.

Upgradation schemes of civil, district, taluka headquarters hospitals are included in the new budget.

In the new budget in the province, it is proposed to increase the grant of the local councils, the salary of the civil servants is expected to increase by 15 to 20 percent in the budget of the province.

In the budget of the next fiscal year, there is also a proposal to increase the minimum wage of the workers.

One trillion 65 billion rupees have been proposed for the development projects of school education, it is proposed to allocate 65 billion 80 crore rupees of the development budget for college education.

It is proposed to allocate 67 billion 10 crore rupees for the development projects of university boards.

There is a plan to establish fifty English medium schools in the districts of Sindh, one billion 51 crore rupees is proposed to be kept for the project of English medium schools.
